What to Know Before You Join Us
We're so glad you're interested in attending an upcoming event with The Valley Fellowship! Whether you're joining us for a garden workday, a family activity, or a community gathering, this page outlines what you can expect and how we can all work together to create a safe, joyful experience for everyone.

What to Bring
To help you feel comfortable and prepared, we suggest bringing:

A refillale water bottle

Lunch and snacks for your family (we typically break for a BYO picnic at midday)

Weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes

Gardening gloves, if you have them

A willingness to jump in and help, even if you're new to gardening!

Children & Families
Our events are designed with families in mind, and children are warmly welcomed. Please note:

Children must be supervied by a responsible adult at all times

Activities are meant to be age appropriate and hands-on

Adults are expected to model safe and respectful participation

Safety & Conduct
To protect our space, vounteers, and animal friends:

Treat tools, plants, and living things with respect and care

Use gentle hands and calm voices, expecially around animals and young children

Follow guidance from staff and volunteer leaders

If you're unsure about a task, just ask! We're here to help.

Photo, Video
& Audo Notice
Photos and videos may be taken during the events to help us share the joy of our work. These images may be used on our social media, website, or in promotional material.

If you prefer not to be photographed, please let a staff member know at check-in, and we will do our best to honor your request.

Weather & Cancellations
Garden events are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of adverse conditions.

Family Yoga events are rain-or-shine. If the weather turns, we'll simply move indoors.
